Our values

The values that guide ACS in its projects are the values of cooperation, equity, collaboration.

ACS has the conviction that it is essential to have a change in the present political and dominant economic system, in order to build a more equal world, where the concept of “active citizenship” can find a real accomplishment.

ACS aim is that the “minority” do not always decide for the “majority”; the economic interests and the market rules do not guide the national and international political choices; that politics can really become an instrument for all the citizens; that democracy can become the real expression of self-determination; that the activities of the humanitarian organizations can come to an end, thanks to the attainment of a real equality in the opportunities to get an access to the resources, to live in freedom and to have all the possibilities of a democratic participation

ACS does not want to intervene only in emergency situations, but to prevent them. Emergencies are caused by wars, by the impossibility to enter basic services, by drastic poverty situations and by the exploitation and depletion of the resources. ACS believes that they can be contrasted, by promotion of concrete and responsible politics and actions. This will be related to a process of rethink and self-criticism in order to support, finally, the right of everybody for a dignified life, satisfying the primary, ethic and justice’s needs.
